BMW is revealing the 3-series with a stretched wheelbase for the Chinese market at the Beijing motor show.
The
wheelbase is lengthened 4.33 inches for added rear space. The sedan
will be sold in China as the 335Li, the 328Li and the 320Li, which each
employ turbocharged engines.
It will be produced in Shenyang,
China. The long-wheelbase model is the second BMW has made exclusively
for the Chinese market, following a stretched 5-series.
BMW showed the conventional 3-series and the ActiveHybrid3 in Beijing. Both vehicles have previously made global debuts.
The M6 and the 6-series Gran Coupe were also among the BMW models that made their Asian premieres.
