Model Jodie Kidd makes an appearance in the Mini Britain Job..
It's a busy time for jolly ol' England as last week it celebrated the Queen's Diamond Jubilee amidst preparations for the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

In the continued buildup for the Olympics, Mini, in homage to the original 1969 film The Italian Job,made a London-themed short film called The Britain Job to highlight both the company's partnership with the Team Great Britain and ParalympicsGB.

Fans of the original might recognize some of the familiar spots the new-generation Minis drive through, including the Park Lane basement, the Duke of York Steps off the Mall and a chase through Leadenhall Market.

Thankfully there is no Lamborghini Miura destruction as in the original film. And the contents of the case at the end, unlike Marcellus Wallace's briefcase, are more or less implied to be the gold medals for the Summer Games.

The short film does include appearances by British sports figures Daley Thompson, James Cracknell, Jonathan Edwards and Matthew Pinsent and model Jodie Kidd. Sadly, Michael Caine is not included.
The 2012 summer Olympic Games are July 27 through Aug. 12.
